A broadband company from FCC Chairman Ajit Pai’s hometown says a single of his latest ideas could protect against it from acquiring spectrum wanted to bolster its network.

Wave Wireless is a locally owned and operated house Web service provider in Parsons, Kansas, in which Pai grew up. Final yr, Pai achieved with Wave’s operator and wrote in a tweet that Wave is “connecting Parsons (including my mother and father) & smaller cities nearby.”

Pai heard from his hometown ISP once again yesterday when Wave and 181 other set wi-fi broadband companies wrote a letter opposing an FCC program that could limit the tiny ISPs’ entry to wireless spectrum.
